It appears that the Gallery Tab on river pages and the Library:Photo/Video tab on the main AW page are creating two totally different ways of uploading, editing, and viewing photos, which may be replicating a UI/UX issue that was new with the current site.

Besides having a very different look and feel, both also are a totally different UI for our members to learn, and there are functions / fields lacking on each. Consider the following across both platforms:

  • Upload fields are different.

  • Displayed photo info is different / incomplete

  • Neither have the ability to upload multiple photos as a standalone action or as a report. Both should, especially river pages.

  • There is no edit photo option in the SPA, and the edit option on Beta has limited fields and the default view of the images are in edit mode which seems wrong.

Are we missing efficiency and confusing people by having these two different systems?

I am posting this the Vue section, but it could just as easily be in the Beta section since it applies to both.

Closing as this is not a clear bug report or feature request.

I would ask that @mattanger and @ryangroth5 consider using the SPA code/approach on the main library/photo-video tab of the website.

@riversandcreeks has ideas on how photos can best be dealt with on our site, and can hopefully frame the issues as clear bugs and feature requests.
