The base calibration I have done with polynomial fittings for each tip-series (NT115, T210 and T245) works in my experience good. They are fitted during tests with "common" tip geometries.
It is unfeasible to have a temperature calibration for all these tips be default.
There will however be a small temperature difference at the tip of say C245171 and C245771 for the same set temperature that is for sure. Is the tip-temperature even constant for the "tip" on C245792? probably not.
That said. If the tip temperature is very critical for a certain job, the user has to do a calibration for that specific tip before use. That would require a JBC TID-B or similar device and the user would need to go through the 6-step temperature calibration.
There has been some requests on having a few "favorite tips" with individual settings stored in user flash. Maybe the user can save a couple of tuned temperature profiles and name them. Even save PID parameters for specific tips. I feel like that is a future feature and would require the user setting menu to be improved. If someone would like to improve the menu system on AxxSolder I would highly appreciate it. Otherwise it is on my to-do list for later.

Of course, JBC has a lot of non-common tips for the T245 series.
