Meta-information about searched codebase #96
Comments
I’ll take a look later as to why this specific package does not seem to be indexed, thanks for flagging this.
From the FAQ: Q: Which Debian distributions are indexed (e.g. testing, sid, experimental)? |
Ah, there is that. I must have stopped reading after "Q: Where is the source code of DCS?". My bad. |
Had a chance to look into the issue: one of the VMs ran out of disk space, and open-iscsi was supposed to get loaded onto that VM, but couldn’t. I freed up some disk space, so the package should show up within the next few hours. As you can tell, both alerting and recovery should be improved, but there’s more pressing changes to be completed first :). I’ll leave this ticket open, though, as exposing the health of the system is indeed a good idea. |
open-iscsi is now findable. |
Thanks! |
Providing some meta-information or stats about the codebase that dcs knows about, beyond "all 130 GiB of source code within Debian" would be very useful!
For example a search for data in the package open-iscsi doesn't provide any results in whatever form (e.g. "scsi package:open-iscsi"), and figuring out why that would seems currently impossible.
(Is the package not known? Is it some failure with dcs? Does dcs only know specific suites and releases?)
Thanks for this service.
