It may be a nicer experience to have the repository as a library available in the Arduino IDE Library Manager.

This should mean that

  • Example files will be available straight in the IDE
  • dependant libraries will be recommended at download

meta data is set in the library.properties file the specs of which are available on the Arduino github site
