Feature description

Option to set current drawing point (cursor point) few centimeters above finger touch point.

feature_request

Why do you want this feature?

On touch screens, the finger blocks the part of the new line being drawn making it difficult to see and correct any mistakes. When you finally see the line is jagged, it's too late to correct it. If you can see the line at the time it is being created you can immediately correct the path of touch finger.

Would a lens effect work? Similar to the one you see when moving your text cursor.

Drawing in general is easier with a capacitive stylus.

I think it will work, given the lens is big enough to show the portion being blocked by the finger.

Pocket Paint does have the lens feature and I would like to seize the opportunity to suggest a spin of it (the "double-tap draw"), which would ideally allow the user not only to end the stroke with good precision, but also to start it (as an opt-in feature):

Any operation, such as a stroke, would not start right away on the first touch, but the first touch-and-drag would only serve to position the starting point (with a lens effect) to the precise location. The second time when the user touches down, the drawing would the begin from the chosen point (meaning we'd effectively would get an offset between finger and drawing point, too).

Just as an idea!
