Hey @yeroca, thanks for raising this issue! I agree that the design should be more parametric. Hopefully I can spend some more time improving this code. If you have any other improvements or requests let me know!
I tried out the grid to see if I could modify some of the parameters successfully, and it didn't work as well as I had hoped.
For example, I tried shrinking the magnet diameter, and the magnet holes ended up getting displaced in the XY plane for some reason.
Also I tried shrinking the main 42mm length dimension to 25mm, hoping that things would scale nicely, but it ended up messed up.
It seems the intention is to use the gridfinity standard 42mm and not consider any deviations, and that means that hard coding some dimensions is ok.
It would be nice to relax that assumption.
Feel free to close this issue if you want to adhere strictly to the standard.
