Use pickling to speed runtime of raster

There could be a way to leverage pickling to significantly speed load times of the tmp files between different steps of staging/raster, such as saving the raster to disk as a pickled object instead of formatting it. Since these temp files are valuable, we could introduce a flag to build and write these files as before.
