Suggested Solution

Let's give users a bonus 500 points on their joining anniversary.
They should get the points when they log in next, even if it's after the anniversary date.
These points shouldn't stack - e.g. if they don't log in for 5 years, they shouldn't have 5 sets of 500 points. They should only have 500 to claim for the first year.
