Since @donwayo seems to have no time to accept pull request for fixes at the moment, I would like to open the discussion to switch to a actively developed branch till he will be back on this project.

Are there opinions for and against this idea?

In the Insigts > Network there are active forks from

Would any of you guys be available for maintainer?
I would also offer to chip in, though I am not a developer myself.

Sorry, also no time for that at the moment unfortunately. I actually added quite a bit of functionality and cleanups here and there, so if anybody wants to continue there I also wouldn't mind:

@sebthom this looks good. But could you explain a bit further: Do you mean "use" like clone your fork to disk or do you mean that you would like to step in as maintainer of an actively developed fork?

Hi all, I think this is a great idea since I’m no longer having time to review and maintain the code and I’ll be happy to help the transition in any way. Perhaps we should just set up an org or something so there is always more than one person who can keep it alive.

Setting up an org sounds good, can you do that and transfer the code?

I invited everybody to the org "Second-Hand-Friends" to start things off. @donwayo If you would like to set up an org yourself, that is also perfectly fine.

@kahironimashte I created another org almost at the same time and invited you to it as well. Let's use that one. I've been and will continue to be away on holidays for at least 1 more week. Cheers!

@donwayo: I'm OK to use your org and holidays are great. To get this going, can you please

  • Create a team in the org so we can use the teams discussion feature? IMHO the very first thing we need is a means of internal communication so we can setup a roadmap.
  • invite @kahironimashte and @Schmuuu (per his comment in issue 35)?

Hey guys, I created a new client from scratch at https://github.com/kleinanzeigen-bot/kleinanzeigen-bot/ You are welcome to give it a try. It is still beta but should work. Contributions, esp. better user documentation are more than welcome.

@sebthom This looks promissing! Many convenience features :-)
What was your reason to launch it in a seperate org? Maybe sometime in the future @donwayo could add you as owner and both projects live together in AnzeigenOrg?

@sebthom This looks great! I think you did a great job in tackling a lot of the issues present in the original. I haven't tried it though, but I'm more motivated to use and build up upon yours than continuing with the current code base. I would be happy to add you as owner of the Org to let them live together. It's up to you :)

I created a separate org+repo for now to have some control over the code until it is matured. Ultimately I don't mind in which org the repo will live. I am a strong believer in reuse (2nd hand) over new buys/recycling from an ecological point of view, so everything thing that encourages people to share/reuse things serves the purpose.

On a side note, because ebay kleinanzeigen has to change it's name for legal reasons I feel that the "Second-Hand-Friends" org name might be a better suited org name than "AnzeigenOrg" in the long run.

@sebthom you are now owner of the "Second-Hand-Friends" org, like @donwayo and I

I thought similar when I picked the name.

The project bankscrap inspired me. They have a core app and people can develop connectors for their specific bank.

@sebthom great job. You will see already some pull requests and feature quests in your repository.

Seems the fork from @sebthom is gone. That was likely the most complete and up-to-date version :(

Maybe the new kleinanzeigen bot is an alternative but that means starting all over again with the ad-texts.
