Is it possible to add products to cart outside the store's website?

I’m interested in adding a feature to our store where users can add products to their cart from an external website. I would like to create a custom website with a very specific layout, and pull products from nuvemshop's API. When users come back to our store’s website, the cart would reflect the user’s choices from the outside app.

Is this something that is possible?
