Symptoms

When the game starts the cursor changes to the blue ingame cursor but the screen remains black, you can hear the start up game sounds but nothing happens after that. If you alt tab and then tab back you can sometimes see a frozen frame from the intro animation. (see below picture)
frozenscreen

Reproduction

Just select proton 9.0-4 and start the game, this didn't happen before, it used to take 30 seconds to start and then the game ran fine, i'm not sure which proton version it previously worked with. I tried many different versions now but all of them have the same issue.

I couldn't reproduce this issue with my amd card on proton stable or experimental. Main menu, video and game itself all appear to be working correctly. It might be a good idea to update your drivers or switch to the non-LTS branch of the Linux kernel and see if the issue persists

@simifor Thanks for replying! I changed the kernel to Linux 6.12.4-1-MANJARO x86_64 and then tried again but I got the exact same result unfortunately.

I already have the latest updated Nvidia drivers available from Manjaro's repositories since I always keep my system up to date.

I've attached the log files for the attempt with the previous kernel, I don't know if there's something useful there indicative of the problem that's happening... 🤷🏻

Everything used to work fine before, I have no idea when or why exactly it stopped working...
