ELN2 should add more types of signal switches to the market.
Some switch types suggested are:
Mode Switches [Image Attached]
Behaves like a signal trimmer, but snapping to certain set points. This could be configurable in a GUI as to how many settings there are and what signal values they represent. Right-clicking could advance options and left clicking could make them go back.
Switches that have a covering door that must be opened before pressing the button/activating the switch. Right clicking once would open the door and doing it again would activate the device. If no second action is received the door could close after like 5 seconds.
Lit switches
Switches that have lights on them. I acknowledge that ELN1 had lights on the switches, but these lights should be controllable by signal or something. Depending on the signal value would determine the color of the light, and the colors should be assignable to conditions in a gui or with a tool. This could be useful for things like generator start buttons to turn the button from red to yellow to indicate starting and yellow to green to indicate running or something. The switch could flash red if theres a fault idk. Options are nice!
Switch styles
Switches that look like different things, such as light switches, conventional buttons, old fashioned stick-like toggle switches and such would be nice.
The ability to label switches would be nice as well.
Text Labelling
I'm not sure if it's possible to add a text labelling feature directly to the switch but maybe a individual block made to fit in the same block as a switch to label it, to make control switch walls less cluttered with signs for larger control rooms. If you do an on-switch option, it'd likely be limited to very few characters
Color Coding
Much easier to do I'd think. The ability to color the housing of a switch to signify it's purpose.
