Thoughts about: free-to-register Clovers

Thanks to user Jim for kick starting this topic in the Discord. Wanted to collect some thoughts on the topic here to figure out a potential road forward with this feature.

Summary

• Additional registration user flow
• Free to register but you don't own it
• You have the ability to set a sell price
  • Must me greater than minimum registration price
  • Otherwise user could just buy Clover from self at very low price
• If it is bought then you get the difference between minimum registration price + amount paid
• Could be paired with the ability to do OBO

Benefits

• More Clovers get registered
  • The more Clovers registered, then the more likely interesting ones will show up
• Lower risk on users for interacting with the system
• The inverse of the bounty system

Drawbacks

• Doesn't support token price as much / as often through user initiated buys when arbitrage is the motive
• Will create a lot of noisy Clovers being registered

Technical Considerations

• Will the Clover be owned by the Clovers contract?
• Should they act differently from the contract-owned Clovers already on the Market?
