I wanted to try your backupmodx.php script, but I didn't succeed. The file does not even run (error in line 515, unexpected '}').
After having a closer look at the code, I got the impression that something went wrong while uploading it to GIT. Is it possible, that the lower half of the file backupmodx.php consists of code of installmodx.php? Or is it just too late and I should get some sleep :)

I'm getting the same error, but haven't yet dug in to see what the issue might be. Code leading up to 515 looks a little wonky, though (515 is a closing bracket, but there doesn't appear to be anything opening it.)

It's not complete -- sorry -- sometimes this repo ends up as a scrapbook collage of random snippets. I'm working on a command-line tool that does this.

Hi @fireproofsocks ,

are you interested to work togheter on a complete CLI app to:

  • install, update, .... MODX
  • install default set of extra (or live search)
  • install default set of systems setting + context setting
  • backup/restore
  • draft a dashboard of multiple install to get info on the install
  • run process a sequences of MODX process on multiple sites.

A "container" of the CLI app can be https://github.com/laravel/installer .
And all that in remote or local environment ( thx to https://laravel.com/docs/5.2/envoy ).

What do you think? Do you have time for this type of project from 09/2016 ?
