We are testing simpleeval for our requirements. We use Decimal values but for formulas it should be very simple as variable * 131.25.
Decimal
variable * 131.25
However the following simple example throws an error. TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for *: 'decimal.Decimal' and 'float'.
TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for *: 'decimal.Decimal' and 'float'
simple_eval("variable * 131.25", names=lambda node: Decimal("1"))
There should be a way to "cast" values to a specific type.
