What benefits does the suggestion solve?

In some situation conceptual models are used as starting point for doing informaiton models.
To what extent does a terminology with concepts according to SKOS support this. When should RDFS be used instead?
Can the distincion between a concept and a class be made clearly?

Introduce a section in the background that talks about concepts and compares their role with classes.
