METplus Advanced Training Series Resumes

METplus Enthusiasts,

The METplus team is pleased to announce that the METplus Advanced Training Series will resume with its scheduled fall sessions on Wednesday, November 1st. Two sessions will occur this fall and three after the new year. They will run on Wednesday mornings beginning at 11am-1pm ET / 9am-11am MT / 1600-1800 UTC.

• 11/1/23 Evaluating Fire Weather Using Traditional and Object-Based Statistics
• 11/15/23 Fire-Weather Using Unique Data Sets and Python Embedding
• 1/10/24 Subseasonal to Seasonal Forecasts (S2S and SFS)
• 1/24/24 Review of S2S and SFS Indices
• 2/7/24 Upcoming Capability including Unstructured Grids, Aerosols, and Land

As before, sessions will be recorded to provide those who cannot attend an opportunity to learn these topics. Please visit the DTC website for more information.
