I connect my monitor to my laptop via HDMI. I was using an MSI MP2412 monitor before and it worked fine. But when I adjust the brightness on this monitor, nothing happens and the monitor restarts itself immediately after I stop adjusting. I also use the laptop with the lid closed, so the monitor doesn't display unless I open the laptop lid again after the reboot I just mentioned.
'm using the same HDMI input that I use on my MP2412 monitor, I don't use a DP cable because my Thunderbolt input doesn't support 2K 180Hz and if I remember correctly I had the same problem with it. My DP cable was a Paugge too.
My laptop is Acer Nitro AN16-41, R7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics, RTX 4060 8GB.
