I’m guessing Tesla pulled the wool over the South Australian government by telling them ocpp was coming but only for the newer universal charger not twc3 which is the only one we can buy in Australia. They have approval now so I doubt they will bother.

It could be, that it is the case, but on the otherside both the new Tesla Universal Charger and the Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 seem to be running on the same firmware: https://wallmonitor.app/app/firmware. As for now there's nothing new, but let's see what happens as § 14a EnWG in Germany is setting similiar requirements regarding the controllability as well.

But it seems to be not helpful for us: "I have solar panels and want solar only charging and a 6A minimum would get me there. I called Tesla and the tech said the system apparently works only as a power limiter for undersized electric supply."
