Create a rendering option that produces PDFs of the reports. I've searched the discussions and issues and couldn't find anything for this topic so I thought it could be introduced to have some discussions about the viability.
What problem would this solve?
Please let me know if I have missed this feature somewhere.
I believe that to get a PDF of a report, a user must manually select Print PDF in the browser.
In some cases, users prefer to have PDF documents instead of links to web pages. Rendering to PDF also makes it easier to attach reports to communications such as emails. If evidence could produce PDFs without manual user intervention, it would allow for integrations into reporting automations that rely on having PDFs.
How should it work?
I understand that this isn't a trivial problem to solve and will likely involve components that may be considered out of scope for this project such as a headless browser. I am unsure of what approach would be most appropriate so any thoughts would be appreciated (even if it is just to shoot down the idea as out of scope/too complicated).
