What would you like to be added:

  • Make use of the newly introduced seed prometheus and let it scrape the metrics exposed by extension pods running on seeds (see monitoring docs) ➡️ Scrape extension pods in seed #428
  • Add useful dashboards to the seed grafana based on these metrics

Related to gardener/gardener#2815

Why is this needed:

controller-runtime and client-go already expose a bunch of useful metrics. We should scrape them and visualize them to help operators with observing the behavior of this extension in production environments.
