One user who had been successfullly using rSymPy found that recently it would not start up on Mac or Linux. See: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/35419547/error-while-using-rsympy
Issuing sympyStart() did seems to resolve the problem but there remains the question of why it occurred.
sympyStart()
I tried it on Windows and it did start even without issuing sympyStart() so at this point I have been unable to reproduce the problem.
