It might be nice to use a better TUI than just dropping dots on the screen. For example, the screen could show the next few events, possibly including some that are being filtered out, and provide a manual 'refresh' option.

This may be a 'calblink 2.0' sort of thing, after it gets refactored to be broken up into packages. Then the option of multiple UI packages could be made available.
