I gave a 100mph talk on git and github, a walkthrough of what I said/meant is in the file 'git_and_github.md'. As git is awful at tracking files which aren't plain-text (e.g. videos, photos, anything that Microsoft has touched), the powerpoint I gave and video I recorded are available here
