TL;DR

I saw that this package is manually installed on Hetzner VM instances, e.g. AlmaLinux 9. It would be nice to have a proper repository for this.

Expected behavior

The repository could be extended with a RPM spec file and a Debian build file for the supported instant-on VMs: Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Rocky Linux, Alma Linux and CentOS Stream. Building the packages could be easily automated using GitHub actions.
As Hetzner mirrors some of the operating system repositories (e.g. Ubuntu), it should be easy to host a little "Hetzner tools repository" - what do you think?

Big +1 from me, on Ubuntu 24.04 it will come up as obsolete when running apt list '~o'

So we accidentally deleted the package with apt purge '~o' causing some private networking to stop working.

How will we ever receive (security) updates for this package?
