Describe the feature you'd like to request

Similar to the Qbittorent Integration, I was curious if it was feasible to do this with Rtorrent? If so, what could I possibly provide (if anything) to help ease the implementation of this? And if it's able to be implemented, could it make the official release of V-1.0?

Describe the solution you'd like to see

I remember discussing it somewhere already. It was previously already refused in V0.15 and older under the guise that it was unmaintained. I have since then confirmed that rTorrent is indeed being maintained and is a reliable client.

Unfortunately though, we use dependencies to provide us the translation layer for all different torrent clients in a uniform way, and they do not provide one for rTorrent.
This is why it wasn't directly implemented, since already 5 different clients needed to be managed when releasing the widget.
It is possible to make a native implementation for it instead though, but would require a bit of work that we, for now, prefer investing in other parts of the project.

You can keep the issue open, I'm only informing you that it isn't a priority, not that we won't ever do it.
Most likely we would find time to do it after the official release.
