⚠️ Please check that this feature request hasn't been suggested before.
I searched previous Issues didn't find any similar feature requests.
I am only requesting a single feature. Multiple changes should be split into individual requests, with links between them.
I believe my requested feature will be generally applicable to other users, not just me: it is not uniquely tied to my personal workflow.
🔖 Feature description
Really like the time tracker feature! Only thing though is that it has to be tied to a specific task and we always have to navigate to that task to start the timer. Is it possible to implement a tracker that just tracks the times we clock in on a more global level? I implement GCalendar with the day planner and it'll be great if I can see how well I stuck to my calendar events by clocking in and out freely, especially since it seems that we cannot use our GCal events as trackable tasks.
Thanks!
✔️ Solution
A button or command on timeline calendar to "clock in" without being tied to a specific task.
❓ Alternatives
Creating a daily task called "day work," and then clocking in and out through that. Not a bad option but would like a more fluid approach.
