Describe the new feature or enhancement

The welcome message box cannot be closed even by pressing X it keeps open with attribution and donate buttons, to disable it permanently from settings would be best.

Additional context

To show it in the project's domain is okay, for others it must be optional, also it would be nice to add custom areas or menu elements from admin settings, so we don't have to fork and rebuild it to add a simple link or short text. Tx
