Finamp controler lost on Android lock screen and notifications

Hello,

Since one or two months I lost the controller (play/stop next previous) from the android lock screen.
Same it not possible to get it from the notification top. I need to enter in the app to play/stop or change the song.
I am on android 14 and the interface is one UI 6.1.

This just happened to me also.
I want to say it was just after a recent update for me (version 0.6.25 from f-droid).

Finamp playback now also just stops after +- 2 songs.

I thought perhaps it was a permission issue, but no permissions are denied it seems.

I have tried to re-install (again, from f-droid), controller widget still missing.

Same issue here.

After update from fdroid to 0.6.25, background playback stopped working completely. Finamp only played music while inside the app, as soon as switching app or locking screen, music playback stopped. (Made sure background battery usage was set to unrestricted, aswell as background mobile data) The 'widget' on lockscreen and notificiation center was gone aswell after this update.

Pixel 9 pro, GrapheneOS latest version as of date.

Reverted to previous version of finamp for the moment.

Same issue for me. Using a Google Pixel 9 XL with the latest version of Android.

Edit: Just installed the 0.6.24 release from early November and it appears lock screen control is now working as expected. System control in android is also working as expected, i no longer need to go into the app to change songs.
I recommend others with this issue downgrade finamp to an earlier version.

I have had the same issue with the lock screen not showing playback details on a Samsung S21 FE, Andriod 14, One UI 6.1 and Finamp v0.6.25 as well as Finamp v0.6.26 (just updated yesterday).
I never had the issue where it stops playing fully when exiting Finamp, just not updating the Android media overlay. Not sure if that's what v0.6.26 was meant to address.
Will try to revert to v0.6.24 as PasterOfMuppets9 suggested.

I believe that this could be a separate issue.

@Chaphasilor light testing shows that 0.6.24 has the lockscreen / persistent media playing notification work correctly (0.6.25 AND 0.6.26 do not do this). 0.6.24 is working fine with the screen off, app not in foreground also.
