Otp and login bug

when i first visit the site after clicking login, it asks for phone no for OTP verification. But, When i go from the login page to the main home page its automatically logged in(using saved cookies ig). So if i login automatically why is there a need to put my phone number on the first try since my data is saved. unnecessary request for OTP would just increase operating costs
