Normalize variable/function names in library #1

Currently there's a mix of CamelCase and underscore_names in the library (JoeyJoebags.py mostly uses CamelCase, so some functions have retained their CamelCase after migration). I prefer using underscore_names, but the key is that these names should be consistent.
