Generating a new token

This section provides instructions on generating a new token on the Manifest network using the Gwen web application.

Requirements

• The token authority identity, provided by The Lifted Initiative

• Recent browser

  • Firefox >= 78

  • Safari >= 12

  • Edge >= 79

  • Chrome >= 64

  • Opera >= 51

Instructions

To generate a new token,

1. Open Gwen

   

2. Click on the Anonymous account menu and

   

3. Click on the Add Account button and click on the Import tab

   

4. Click on PEM File, add the Token Authority account and click on Save

   

5. Click on Services

6. Click on Ledger

7. Click on the Create Token button

   

8. Enter the token Name, Symbol and Amount to create

   

9. Click on the Create button. Your new token is now created.

   

Note	The new token amount will be vested to the destination address which is currently set to the Token Authority address
