checklibs doesn't work because it fails to look at the environment variables

LD_LIBRARY_PATH
DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH
DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH

and maybe even DYLD_FALLBACK_FRAMEWORK path.
