The changes in #260 indicate that mlx.traceability does not support Sphinx' parallel read. The following doc job shows what happens when Sphinx' parallel read is enabled: https://github.com/melexis/sphinx-traceability-extension/runs/6831829536?check_suite_focus=true#step:6:65
