networkdiagnostic beyond LL-addresses

I am able to receive information about nodes on my network using networkdiagnostic get 0 1 2 3 4 ff02::1.
This only seems to get responses from fe80 addresses, though.

Regarding this, I have two questions:

1. Does that exclude nodes that are more than one hop away?
2. Does that same restriction apply to the web interface?
3. How can I reach all nodes in the network, including ones that are more than one hop away?

ff02::1 is an IPv6 link-local multicast address. Thread devices link-local scope as those interfaces that are within direct radio range. Sending a network diagnostic request to a link-local request will only generate responses use link-local addresses.

You can try using realm-local scope ff03::1 to reach devices that are multiple hops away. Note, however, that sleepy end devices intentionally do not subscribe to the realm-local multicast address.
