UDP CLI Interface bind port format

All examples provided on udp bind follow the format of udp bind :: 1234
No other information on what a valid ipv6 address for CLI input is provided. I have been guessing for a while, and cannot figure it out, nor have I been able to find the parser here in the source code

The IPv6 address must be unspecified (::) or assigned to the Thread interface.

Looking through the CLI commands for Thread, there is no set ip. How do I assign to the Thread interface?

For anyone in the future, need to look at dataset meshlocalprefix fd00:0:0:0::, ipaddr add fd00:0:0:0::1, up bind fd00:0:0:0::1 1234 for the leader, and udp send fd00:0:0:0::1 1234 hi for joiner.

Ideally, you should use the auto-configured IPv6 addresses, rather than manually assigning IPv6 addresses.

For my purpose, I am building a star network on top of the thread network.
Not sure if it has a name, I call it branching/broken star. I want the nodes that are not the leader to know the leader so they can call home and
get reconnected.
