This looks like it was maybe the result of a user staying logged in, but inactive for a while. While they were inactive, the session expired. Upon returning and attempting to use the system, the API returned this error.

We should investigate that this is indeed the case, and if so, navigate the user to the login page and display a properly formatted session expiration error. The user should not be required to manually log out and back in.
