For all Core Data Models, we need a better record detail viewer. In particular, it should be possible to:

  • See a record detail without obscuring/leaving search results.
  • Configure (globally) where the detail viewer appears: Right? Left? bottom? Modal? Page?
  • See all "native" fields at top, including one image if there are any, plus all related records in grouped lists (currently possible)
  • Configure which native fields to suppress (not currently possible)
  • Configure which related records to show all of by default, instead of in a collapsed accordion (not currently possible)

Questions:

  • What happens when a user clicks a related record from a record detail? Probably open that record in the detail viewer, but maybe as a secondary overlay/drawer, so that dismissing the second record returns to the first record?
