Lack of awareness of Maps Portal

User Interviews, conducted at the end of 2021, revealed few PUL librarians and staff members are aware of the Maps Portal, and those who knew about it were not sure what resources were indexed there.

Possible solutions:

• PUL-wide communications campaign to raise awareness
• Better integration into the Catalog and Library web sites/apps.

• Training for reference staff
• Integrate "About" information into the Maps Portal so that researchers understand what is indexed
• Better Google indexing
