Support for Minion 3

is there any plan for the support of Minion 3?
If anyone has an idea, what will be changed from the existing Minion Pro basis?

With Minion 3, Slimbach had the opportunity to re-examine the Minion family and to extend it further, nearly doubling the number of Latin glyphs to cover African languages and Vietnamese, as well as full IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet). Slimbach has also extensively refined the Cyrillic and Greek scripts, and introduced Armenian script in addition.

So, I guess not much in terms of design, unless you are worried about Greek or Cyrillic, and even that is just a refinement, but it seems to provide an important expansion to glyph coverage. I guess it should just work with the same settings for Minion Pro? Maybe?

I took the otf files from the Minion 3 font from my Creative Cloud subscription (still called TypeKit, I guess?) and renamed those to have the proper names MinionPro-Bold.otf, MinionPro-BoldIt.otf, MinionPro-It.otf, MinionPro-Medium.otf, MinionPro-MediumIt.otf, MinionPro-Regular.otf, MinionPro-Semibold.otf, MinionPro-SemiboldIt.otf. After throwing those into FontPro/otf, I ran:

$ ./scripts/makeall MinionPro --expanded
Chosen font family is MinionPro
Found font version 1.021
Using glyph list scripts/MinionPro-glyph-list-1.021
Creating PostScript fonts ...
Creating TeX metrics ...

While the latest version of the old Minion font obtained from TypeKit identifies as version 2.115, Minion 3 obviously restarted version numbering at 1.x. That said, I think that MinionPro identifies the wrong version of the font. Can anyone confirm?

I removed the file MinionPro-glyph-list-1.021 from the scripts folder and ran

$ ./scripts/makeall MinionPro --expanded
