Something that came out of #44 discussions: Perhaps the interpolation algorithm could be improved to handle non-uniform and non-rectangular spectral grids. Scientific consultant is needed for how to best interpolate in T_eff, log g, and metallicity space. Maybe we can use astropy.modeling.tabular.tabular_model?
