Why can't the offical gh GitHub CLI do this?

FYI I've created a feature request, where I am basically/also asking this: cli/cli#9594

I mean, from our side, this tool was created just because we need the functionality for our devlogs and I didn't see any existing solutions. But I definitely happy to archive this if an official alternative is implemented.
