check exception in ClientOptions.java

check if in ClientOptions.java we get an exception if there is a null value - commented out code

have exception handling in above two functions which is commented out - so do we need to check the condition for null case only? @sonalgoyal

can you pass some options like --notfound and see what happens? I have lost track of this issue and it is not clear on what we were seeing and what we need.
