Instagram Analytics and Advocacy

Overview

This project provides a comprehensive Instagram Analytics Dashboard built using Python. It offers real-time insights on followers, likes, comments, and other analytics for Instagram profiles. The dashboard also includes advanced features like sentiment analysis and automated scraping for Instagram data(please dm me or email me for additional details)

Project Structure

Here is an overview of the key files in the project:

• app.py: This is the main application script that starts the dashboard interface.
• auto_run.py: Automatically runs the entire dashboard system without manually starting individual scripts.
• instagram_bot.py: A script for automating Instagram interactions and fetching analytics data.
• webscrappinginstagram.py: A script that scrapes Instagram data, including posts, comments, and hashtags, to gather insights for the analytics dashboard.
• server.py: Handles server-side operations for the dashboard.
• requirements.txt: Lists all the required dependencies and libraries to run the project.
• assets/: Contains static files such as CSS, images, and JavaScript needed for the web interface.
• .venv/: Virtual environment folder to ensure project dependencies are isolated.

Installation

To set up this project on your local machine:

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/Chinmay2406/Instagram-dashboard-for-analytics-.git
   cd Instagram-dashboard-for-analytics-

2. Set up a virtual environment:

   python -m venv .venv

3. Activate the virtual environment:

   • On Windows:

     .venv\Scripts\activate

   • On macOS/Linux:

     source .venv/bin/activate

4. Install the required dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt

Running the Project

To run the entire project automatically, simply execute:

python auto_run.py

This will run the entire dashboard with all necessary components, including the server, web scraping, and bot functionality.

Individual Components

• Running the app:

  python app.py

• Running the Instagram bot:

  python instagram_bot.py              this is optional in in development

• Running the server:

  python server.py

• Running the Instagram scraper:

  python webscrappinginstagram.py              this is optional in in development
