POST DASISH Final Conference Release

This release wraps up our efforts. Please feel free to fork and extend the implementation according to your own needs.

a, The default backend path can be found and edited in chrome/markingcollection/locale/en-US/markingcollection/about.properties.

b, Use the Firebug console to track what is going on while the client is working.

DASISH Final Conference Release

This is the first release of the DWAN client v4.0 in due time for the DASISH Final Conference in Gothenburg, Sweden. We will continue work on bug issues even after this release.

Pre-Final

In this release a few issues reported by the testers are fixed (see "bugs" in issues). Moreover the pop-up form is added to add and modify user permissions.

Test version 2014-04-15

Install

Drag and drop the xpi file (dasishwebannotator.xpi) into a Firefox browser window and allow installation of the add-on. This file can be used for platform independent installation on all operating systems.

Please observe

First step is to log in to the backend server.

If a user visits a web page that contains another user's annotations that are set to the default value permissions public="read" in the backend database, these will be added to the "Incoming" folder of the respective client automatically.

Example page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nijmegen

Please refresh (reload) the page, if you encounter any problems with retrieving or seeing the annotations. All annotations in the "Incoming" folder should be marked with a yellow background color.
