FastAPI Todo App

A simple web-based todo application built with FastAPI and Jinja2 templates. App was built with cursor IDE using Claude Sonnet 3.5 for code generation.

Setup

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/JoeBuydemDips/todo-app.git
   cd todo-app
   

2. Create a virtual environment:

   python -m venv venv
   source venv/bin/activate  # On Windows, use `venv\Scripts\activate`
   

3. Install dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

Running the App

1. Start the FastAPI server:

   uvicorn main:app --reload
   

2. Open a web browser and navigate to:

   http://localhost:8000
   

Features

• Add new todos
• Mark todos as complete/incomplete
• Delete todos
• Undo last action
• Data persistence using CSV file

Running Tests

To run the tests, use the following command:

pytest

For test coverage report, use:

pytest --cov
