This wiki is based on my spatial research / creation and gathers information and updates from my publications (doctoral thesis or articles from conferences or journals you can find on ResearchGate, and particularly my latest article about this tool). This wiki will include not only technical aspects of the spatial performance tool : Live 4 Life, but also personal aspects of this journey of my life (which will be updated as long as life goes on), since this tool was conceived as a life project, which helped me to live or survive in this world.
What makes the difference with other spatialisation tools ?
It is not only a spatialisation tool, but a whole sound creation system to play with sequences of parameters (rhythm, spectrum, space and effects), integrating spatialisation at different levels, both at the heart of each sound synthesis and each loudspeaker.
The spatial performance tool Live 4 Life aims to simplify the creation and control in real time of masses of spatialised sound objects on various kinds of loudspeaker configurations (particularly stereo, quadriphonic or octophonic setups, as well as domes of 16, 24 or 32 loudspeakers...) with several controllers (currently, you can control it with the GUI and the keyboard, and you can also add an Akai APC Mini, 2 tablets with Lemur App, 3 MIDI Fighter Twister and a Sensel Morph).

This “maximalist“ project goes against the rules that some professional developers, like Nathan Ho in this article, would advise for SC beginners, such as :
- Don’t install tons of quarks or third-party plugins,
- Don’t build ambitious software projects in SC.
