Should address the issues in #773 and a few others like getting the nifty gamma controls working.

I tested on the GL1, GLCore, and D3D11 backends, lemme know if I missed something.

Also fixes some additional bugs I noticed, like the quick save confirm code path having the menu rendered in the save screenshot.

It might have warning on GCC/Clang. I am working on MSVC currently ;)

The screen wipes have some minor issues need to look into... though will in a follow up
