@maartenbreddels, @trevmanz are there any advantages of using this cookiecutter template over anywidget and ipyreact?
If not, I think it's a good idea to point people from this repo to these new projects.
It also seems the widget-cookicutter and widget-ts-cookiecutter are outdated.
There are multiple issues reporting that the template does not work:
