Welcome to the E30_power_windows wiki!

This Arduino based project allows to control automatically 4 "old styl" power windows such as the onse found on earlier BMW cars, such as E24, E28, E30, E34, ...

It has been successfully implemented and tested on my own E30 cabriolet.

It uses a Arduino Leonardo board, 8 10Amps relays, 4 current sensing hall effect sensors (ACS712) and 8 optocouplers to interface 12V signals to the 5V Arduino digital inputs.

The program decodes long or short power window button pulses and interprets them as a " continuous command" or an "integral widow up/down command".

There also is a special sequence allowing to command all 4 windows up or down ... very useful on the convertible model cars.
